Configuring Windows NT

1. Double Click My Computer.

2. Double click Dial-up Networking.

3. Phone book entry to dial - New.

4. Under the Basic Tab:

5. Entry Name = eclecTechs.

6. Comment = nothing.

7. Country Code = USA (1).

8. Area Code = the area code of the number you will be dialing.

9. Phone Number = one of our 56k access numbers.
10. Uncheck "Use Telephone and Dialing Properties."

11. Dial Using = your modem.

12. Click on the Server tab.

13. PPP, Windows NT, Windows 95 Plus, Internet.

14. Under Network Protocols, make sure only TCP/IP is checked.

15. Check Enable Software Commpression and Enable PPP LCP extensions.

16. Go to the Script tab.

17. Make sure None is selected.

18. Go to Security.

19. Check off Accept any authentication including clear text.

20. Click OK.

21. Click Dial.

22. Enter your username (make sure you put in your full username@valinet.com, username@noho.com or username@westmass.com whichever one was chosen at sign up).

23. Enter your password.

24. Domain should be left blank.
