Configuring iMac, iBook, G3, G4
- Click on the Apple.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select TCP/IP.
- Make sure that, "Connect via PPP" is selected.
- In the bottom left corner you should see a box for Name Server Addresses. Type in 159.250.24.7 then press return on your keyboard to get to the next line and type in 159.250.24.8
- On the bottom right hand side you should have a box for Search Domains. Type in valinet.com.
- Close out of TCP/IP and save the changes.
- Click on the Apple.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select Remote Access.
- Enter your username. Note: make sure you have username@valinet.com, username@noho.com, or username@westmass.com, depending on what you have chosen with us.
- Enter your password.
- Put in one of our 56K access numbers.
- Click on Options.
- Go to Protocol.
- Make sure "Connect automatically when starting PPP applications", is checked off.
- Press OK.
- Close out of Remote Access and save the changes.
- Your Dial-up connection should be all set.
- You must now configure your e-mail.
- To connect to the Internet, just double click on Internet Explorer or Netscape, whichever you decide to use.
